I called because of acute toothache (12.02.2026). I spoke calmly and politely and only asked one additional question about the possibility of a CT scan. Instead of a normal explanation, I was told in an irritated tone that I wasn't listening. I found that very rude and unprofessional, especially in a situation where you are in pain and looking for help. From the beginning, my attitude was friendly and respectful. It's a shame that the communication went this way.

I am very happy with the dentist, hygienist, and support staff in this dental practice. I have been using aligners to straighten my teeth and have found the treatment much easier than I expected. I really appreciate that they gave me a last-minute appointment when I had pain.

Recently switched, and what a good decision that turned out to be!From the first moment of contact it felt good: the communication around the online registration was clear and smooth. At my first appointment I was warmly welcomed - it felt like a warm bath.What immediately struck me was the sincere interest of the team. They radiate pleasure in their work and do everything they can to make you feel at ease. Their professionalism, clear explanations and motivation are admirable.After the first treatment I am therefore very satisfied. It may sound strange, but I am already looking forward to my next appointment!

I rarely give 1 star, but this experience unfortunately fully justifies it. My first telephone contact with this dental practice was pleasant: I was helped in a friendly manner and was able to be seen quickly due to some urgency. That same day I sent my details for registration. However, a confirmation email of the appointment did not arrive. Because I was not yet an existing customer, I thought this might follow later. To my surprise, when I arrived at the practice I was told that my appointment had been scheduled half an hour earlier than I had noted. Very annoying of course, but what bothered me most was the way this was handled. The receptionist immediately reacted irritated and blamed the mistake entirely on me. When I indicated that I had not received an email and asked if we could check together whether my email address had been misspelled, I was responded to in an unfriendly manner: "You filled it in yourself." And when I asked if a new appointment confirmation had been sent of the new appointment: ''Yes, like last time, yes''. It turned out that there was no error in my registration, but despite this the tone remained unfriendly. While I tried to find a solution, there was no willingness on the other side. When I indicated that I did not like her attitude, I got the response that I could expect the costs of the missed appointment. At that moment I indicated that I was not yet a customer and that I did not intend to be one anymore. She did not seem impressed by that at all. It is a shame that one unfriendly and rigid person makes a potential customer feel completely unwelcome. The operator on the phone earlier was very friendly, and who knows, the dentists themselves may be good at their job. But the first point of contact of a practice should be professional and customer-oriented - this was the opposite. I hope that this review is seen as constructive feedback and that the practice will discuss customer friendliness and approach with the team. A friendly tone and looking for a solution make a world of difference.

Recently switched to this practice and I am very happy with it. Dentist Nahren is not only incredibly friendly, but also very skilled in her work. The team takes the time for you and makes sure you feel at ease. Finally a practice where personal attention is paramount and where it does not feel rushed. After decades of experience with various dental practices, I ended up at Tandartspraktijk Apollo. If only I had come here sooner. It would have saved me a few teeth :) You always get honest advice and everything is explained calmly and honestly. (Which is unfortunately very rare in almost every industry these days).

A reminder to the doctor HIPPOCRATIC OATH!I had a call with the secretary for a check up and she informed me that i can't get one bcz the doctor decided to accept only permanent clients after I said that I m not sure if i wanna become a permanent client.I didn't asked for discounts etc i only said i need an appointment willing to pay and get information about what i need and the costs and if i can afford it and like the doctor i will continue with them.How do you ask sb who haven't even visited you to decide if he will be a permanent client?And since when a PATIENT must be treated as a CLIENT?

This dental clinic deserves 6 stars rating. Unbelievably kind people including the very helpful receptionist and they make you feel welcome right from the moment you step into the clinic. Dentist Nahren was very professional and one of the best healthcare professional in my lifetime experience. No wonder they have the best ratings in Amsterdam.

Even with minor repair work, it is clear that teeth and the human oral cavity appeal to dentist Roderik's imagination. It is a special experience to see that his extensive knowledge of teeth translates flawlessly into very accurate treatment methods. His exquisite theory and practice are also embedded in open, good-natured manners... while the other members of the Apollo team, in their friendliness and willingness, do not give in to each other. In short, I do not know all the dental practices in Amsterdam, but it does not seem far-fetched to me to claim that you are in the Memlingstraat at no. 9 at the top of the Eredivisie as a dentist-visitor.

I was there yesterday (03.11.2023). Got my first treatment by Mrs. Nahren.She probably performed one of the most complicated tooth extractions that’s ever performed by a dentist in Netherlands. Anyone else would have sent you directly to the hospital. No complaints and no mistakes the whole time, worked calmly and professionally. Made sure I felt %100 fine.Great playlist by the way. Just the sweetest people. Both her and her assistant Mrs. Tilly are angels. It’s worth the extra distance if you living in the city center, or north. Can’t recommend them enough. God bless ‘em.

This is a very nice practice to be a client. Everyone in this practice is very knowledgeable. My son is stressed about going to the dentist, but with Roderick he is very relaxed. Recently, some of his front teeth were broken off due to an accident. We were helped quickly with good explanations. His teeth now look better than before :-)

We moved to the Netherlands 9 months ago, and one of my biggest fears was losing access to the dental practice that I've been going to for a long time. I have also had quite a few procedures over the years, from root canals to implants and crowns, and wanted to find a doctor with experience in all of these areas. So, I took some time to research dental practices in Amsterdam, and I'm so glad I found Tandartspraktijk Apollo. From the very first greeting by phone to the appointment with Roderik van Rens, I felt I was in great hands. The doctor took time to hear all of my complicated history, looked at my past scans, and even complimented the work of my previous dentist. He then did an exam, addressed all of my existing concerns, and provided recommendations. Most important of all, I could tell that the doctor was very experienced and enthusiastic about his job. I signed up for a regular checkup and cleaning in 6 months. Highly recommend this practice!

Roderik van Rens put an end to our search for a sympathetic, knowledgeable, and skilled dentist who is committed to serving Amsterdam residents (and not to setting up a practice elsewhere). Pleasant dentist, have been going to the dentist at Roderick for years (10+) and have moved to his own practice now. He does not do unnecessary things and also thinks along with you about what fits into your health insurance, etc. Definitely recommend this dentist!
